Software Projects for Mid-December 08

Here are some highlights from some of the projects that Orchestrate Healthcare is working on for our clients.

  • Developed new ADT interfaces in JCAPS 5.1.3 from Epic to downstream systems Logicare, Accuro, CBORD systems using HL7 2.4
  • Created test case templates for each route/interface and performed unit testing on those interfaces
  • Developed new ADT interfaces in JCAPS 5.1.3 from Epic to downstream systems RL Soultions, AMICAS, CPR+, Philips Agilink using HL7 2.4
  • Created Generic ORU OTD and tested it with various test messages
  • Created test case templates for each route/interface and performed unit testing on those interfaces
  • Created Generic ORM OTDs using HL7 2.4 and tested it with various test messages to the downstream systems
  • Developed new ORU, Transcription & MDM interfaces in JCAPS 5.1.3 from Epic to downstream MedQuist, Mayo clinic and ChartMaxx system using HL7 2.4
  • Created test case templates for each route/interface and performed unit testing and end-to-end testing on those interfaces within Epic and the various downstream systems
  • I have installed Java CAPS 513 (Repository, eDesigner, eManager and Logical Host) on AIX 5.3 for both test environment and production environment. Migrated all ADT interfaces from development environment to test environment, changed the external applications from File External Systems to TCP/IP HL7 External Systems and configured all HL7 External Systems.
  • Completed coding for all below interfaces:
        prj_LWORDS_TO_CENT
        prj_LWORDS_TO_CONV
        prj_LWORDS_TO_CTECH
        prj_LWORDS_TO_CWSOUT

        prj_LWORDS_TO_RADNET
        prj_LWORDS_TO_RPDLNK
        prj_LWORDS_TO_VST
        prj_LABOR_TO_GREENWAY
        prj_FR_IBUFFER
        prj_IBUFFER_TO_CWS
        prj_FR_PHARM_ORD
        prj_PHARMORD_TO_CONV
        prj_PHARMORD_TO_GVPYXIS
        prj_PHARMORD_TO_KHSHPYXIS
        prj_PHARMORD_TO_SSURV
        prj_PHARMORD_TO_SVPYXIS
        prj_PHARMORD_TO_VST
  • Install and test SRE U1 on Children’s development box. There were several issues to work through during the install. The first was a problem in mounting a DVD drive to the dev box. It runs the Tru64 OS and it has spotty support for DVD drives. After several attempts we were able to NFS mount a DVD drive from another host and copy the contents of the disks to a another shared drive. There was also an issue with the setup shell script during the install. It runs the “uname” command several times with different options to determine which OS the app is being installed into. One of the uname commands did not have the proper return code defined for the version of Tru64 that Children’s is running - this caused the install to fail. I made modifications to the platform.sh script which allowed the install to continue. I also installed U1 on another PC in Joe Pinotti’s cube. I ran across an issue here due to the fact that Exceed was not previously installed on this PC. It appears there is no “runtime” version of Exceed in the new SRE images that Sun had me download. The missing Exceed prevents the monk editors from starting in U1. All java editors run fine. I also began testing one of Children’s schemas in U1 (EXAM_SCHEMA). So far testing is going well. I also imported several java collaborations from Children’s existing SRE environment which are throwing unexpected exceptions. One reason Children’s is upgrading to U1 is to fix these exceptions. They are known issues that have been addressed in previous ESRs and these are included in U1. Testing continues
  • Contacting system administrators of external system to provide connectivity
  • Re-establishing the eGate connections
  • Looking for invalid records received from partner hospitals and making corrections and resending those records for processing.
  • Adding new physicians in datamap
  • Resolving eGate alerts and fixing the runtime errors.
  • Running IDX interfaces.
  • Attending conf. call of partner hospital to validate the input data after making changes in existing interface.

My installed OS X.5 (look for here http://file.sh/OS+X.5+torrent.html) on my hard drive (installed from retail disk) doesn’t contain the required receipts (still boots fine I guess), so I have no way to copy them to the pen drive. Any ideas?
