Healthcare Technical Services Projects for Oct 3
  • Transolutions New Report Type – Attended status conference call with the team on 9/27 and discussed the successful testing that was completed the previous week.  The live date of 10/4 was put on hold pending some feedback requested from the physicians.  The goal is to have all of the physicians agreed to begin dictating/transcribing the new behavioral health progress notes template via Transolutions.
  • Medmined Microbiology Results – Worked to confirm that “MIC” results were not currently being sent outbound via the production HL7 lab results interface.  A member of the team pointed out a flag that needed to be added to the Meditech configuration that would activate the “MIC” results into the outbound feed.
  • Medmined Microbiology Results – Created document in advance of next week’s meeting with Medmined based on a field by field comparison of the Meditech “MIC” lab results message format against the Medmined HL7 specification for their application’s microbiology result message format.  This document lists each fields required by Medmined side by side with the Meditech field names and allowable values/formats for Order Number, Test (OBR.4), Result Code (OBX.3), Organism Code (OBX.5), Antibiotic Code (OBX.3), Source Code (OBR.15), etc.  This document also lists questions for the folks from Medmined at the meeting this week.  For example, need to map the Meditech Accession Number from OBR.19 to OBR.21 based on my analysis and need confirmation from the client that the data I am seeing is the Meditech Accession and from Medmined that that it should be mapped to OBR.21.
  • Medmined Laboratory Results – Created document in advance of next week’s meeting with Medmined based on a field by field comparison of the Meditech “LAB” lab results message format against the Medmined HL7 specification for their application’s general laboratory result message format.
  • MedMined Laboratory Results – Completed initial development/setup of the Lab Results component of the Meditech to Medmined interface by using the recently built Meditech to Heartland Medinformatix as a baseline.  Completed creation of the data map file and modified the code to use the data map file as a filtering mechanism based on a check against the incoming messages OBR.4.1 (Lab Test Mnemonic) field.  For now, the data map file does not yet contain all of the lab test mnemonics.  Client working with Medmined to identify the list of lab test mnemonics.  Once the initial list is ready, will populate the data map file with actual lab test mnemonics.  Completed unit testing of the data map file and filter code using dummy entries and massaged messages.
  • Medmined Pharmacy Orders – Began creating document in advance of next week’s meeting with Medmined based on a field by field comparison of the Meditech “PHA” pharmacy orders message format against the Medmined HL7 specification for their application’s pharmacy order message format.
  • Created unit test documentation for all Millennium Interfaces.
  • Reviewed Eclipsys PNS Load Utility.
  • Reviewed Eclipsys Provider Load Function.
