Baylor Medical Center Frisco Selects OH to Implement “Paperless” Clinical & Technical Architecture

Carbondale, Colo., August 31, 2009 — Orchestrate Healthcare, the leader in healthcare technical consulting,  in partnership with Vitalize Consulting Solutions, completed a concentrated study focusing on the needs, wants, and capabilities of an extensive clinical and technical architecture for Baylor Medical Center at Frisco. As a result of this detailed analysis of existing system infrastructure and internal processes, Orchestrate Healthcare is implementing a proven electronic methodology to advance clinical processes within Baylor’s Frisco facility where their focus is on improving clinical processes, patient satisfaction, patient safety, and compliance.

“The advanced levels of expertise of the Orchestrate Healthcare and Vitalize Consulting Solutions team of professionals have provided a strategic roll-out of the clinical and technical architecture,” said Kevin Coats, Chief Financial Officer, Baylor Medical Center at Frisco. “We are now poised to move interoperability to the next level as we look forward to our continued health care growth while building on sound financial decisions.”

The research for this in-depth project incorporated strategic direction in various areas including Executives, Administration, Patient Access, Medical Records, Nursing, and clinical areas. Baylor Medical Center at Frisco is currently utilizing MEDITECH standard modules and they needed a solution to seamlessly interface with their nursing, electronic medical records (EMR), and other systems. The implementation of the computerized physician order entry (CPOE) provides the necessary resources, planning, and the optimization of current installed modules.

“To promote patient satisfaction and support the broadening efforts of electronic medical records, one very significant component to this enhanced system for Baylor Medical Center at Frisco is we are taking them from a paper driven process to a completely paperless process,” said Charlie Cook, Orchestrate Healthcare CEO.
