In our EMR implementation, we had a hodgepodge of consultants creating interfaces from different companies, since we didn’t have a staff here. It was a mess, so we started to build our own staff, but that didn’t pan out, so we were really behind the ball. We were several months behind schedule when I heard about Orchestrate Healthcare, who specializes in healthcare interface work and integration. We talked with Charlie and told him exactly what we wanted and that we were on a crunched timeline. Charlie gave us one person who came in to scope things out, and he was very good. We asked for more, and we ended up getting several more people in our shop. Those people worked for about five months to fix the MPI. They got the entire thing loaded and fixed all of our backload and results interfaces. They also got all six months of backload results loaded and fixed all of my go-live interfaces in TDS, Invision, and SCM, and got us up and live. It was a phenomenal feat, considering I was thinking of delaying it for three or four months.

Orchestrate Healthcare did what they said they were going to, and if it was not clear and became vague later on, they fixed it. They always made things right.

Orchestrate Healthcare not only met the timelines, but they uncovered so many problems in our MPI that without the kind of experience that they had, we would have had to spend months trying to figure out what was going on with the MPI. I have to give it to Charlie. He brought in a top-notch, Navy Seal kind of a team. These people worked around the clock. I spent a lot of money, but they worked around the clock, fixed everything, and got us on track. Looking back on all the problems that they found and fixed, I don’t know how we would have gotten here without them.

Orchestrate Healthcare was expensive only because of our compressed timeline and the number of hours they had to put in. However, we got very experienced, top-notch people at a fraction of the price that I would have had to pay Eclipsys for such a skill set.

Orchestrate Healthcare’s resources are willing to relocate. They do a good job of capping expenses in that regard. I have not seen that from any other firm. Cost control is very good from Orchestrate Healthcare.

Future Outlook - Positive

We do not have anyone on staff to do any eGate work, so we brought Orchestrate Healthcare in to help us with server administration and map building. They set up the interfaces on our server either in test or production. We also call them when we do not know what to do.
